Six file to run for school board, fire board seats

UNION COUNTY — Four persons including two incumbents have filed to run for seats on the Union County Board of School Trustees.Filing for nonpartisan races on the November general election ballot opened Tuesday, July 15. The filing period will close at noon on Friday, Aug. 15.The November general election ballot includes seats on the Union County Board of School Trustees, Union City Council, Carlisle Town Council, Brown’s Creek Watershed, and the boards of the Santuc, Monarch, Jonesville, and Southside fire districts.School BoardThe District 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 seats on the Union County Board of School Trustees will be on the November ballot.
