Juried Art Show reception celebrates art

UNION — Over 150 art enthusiasts descended on the USC-Union Main Building Thursday night for the Union County Art Council’s 2014 Juried Art Show awards reception. Over $3,000 in cash prizes was given to the winners in each of 10 divisions.People’s ChoiceThe highlight of the evening for most of the patrons was the chance to vote on his or her favorite painting in the “People’s Choice” category. This $500 prize, sponsored by Founder’s Federal Credit Union, was given to Union’s Amanda Kingsmore, whose painting “Always Greener” garnered the greatest number of votes on the night.
