District gets a ‘C’ on federal report card

UNION COUNTY — The Union County School District has received its 2014 federal report card, which reflects substantial improvement by Union County High School.The South Carolina Department of Education released the 2014 ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act)/Federal Accountability System report cards for all districts on Monday.The report card had the district at an overall grade of “C” 76.2 — just above last year’s 75.4 grade.The report card shows a breakdown of grades by elementary, middle, and high school grade levels, and Union County High School received a score of 77.7. This is a “C,” over 17 points higher than last year’s “F” score of 60.3.


Bank robbery suspects in custody

Carnegie Library receives $70,000 grant
