Mrs. Roark’s second graders created a “PASS Quilt” for Mrs. Inman’s fifth graders. Each quilt square has an illustrated test taking tip on it. Mrs. Roark’s class has also prepared “candy grams” to give Mrs. Inman’s class each day during the week of PASS as a daily reminder that they are cheering for them. This project not only strongly encourages the students taking the PASS test, but also makes the younger students aware of how important it is to prepare for the PASS test now. Mrs. Roark’s second graders are pictured with their “PASS Quilt.”

As part of the study, students blew bubbles on their desk tops, and measured the diameter and radius of each circle. Then, they calculated the area and circumference of each.
