
UNION COUNTY — The Union County 4-H Young Guns BB gun club hosted a countywide match last Saturday, April 13.
The Young Guns II team out shot the Young Guns I by just 21 points.
Members of the Young Guns II team are Tristan Brock, Shelly Burgess, Kalib Farr, Brandon Trammell, and Garret Alexander. Their total score of 1,742 placed them in 1st place over their partnering team — Young Guns I — who scored a total of 1,720. Members of the Young Guns I team are Russ Samol, Gracie Samol, Tyler Trammell, Dristan Trammell, and Creighton Ivey.
Young Guns I shooter Russ Samol shot the highest score in all positions and was named overall Best Shooter. His scores were: Prone 89, Standing 87, Sitting 89, Kneeling 84, with an overall score of 349.
“It was an afternoon of great shooting by all who competed,” said County 4-H agent Anne Brock.
