Darrion Booker played through an ankle injury on Monday night for Talladega College, contributing 12 points, 13 rebounds and four shot blocks in a double overtime loss to Philander Smith College, 96-95.

“I tried not to think about my ankle too much,” said Booker. “I had injured it in the first half of the game before this one. The treatment here is really good, though, so I was ready to get back at it pretty quick.”

Booker put up 18 points and 6 rebounds in Talladega’s 84-64 win over Xavier last week before exiting the game with the injury.

Devin Booker turned in 15 points and nine rebounds in Clemson’s 59-44 victory over Virginia on Saturday. Booker made the ACC Must See Moments with back-to-back blocks in the contest.

He put up 12 points and eight rebounds to help Clemson to a 60-44 win over Wake Forest on Tuesday and his alley-oop slam from an inbounds pass made the SportCenter Top Ten list at #7.

Union County is sponsoring the Meansville Riley Water Company's application for a $350,000 grant through the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority. The grant would enable the company to install approximately 31,000 linear feet of new water main on eight different roadways and improve water quality. If requested to do so, should the county sponsor more such grant applications by other local water companies?
