UNION — The Union Public Safety Department and the Union County Coroner’s Office are investigating a body found in a wooded area off the Duncan Bypass.
In a statement released Monday morning, Union County Coroner William E. Holcombe announced that the body of an adult male had been found in a wooded area behind 439 N. Duncan Bypass at around 10:42 a.m.
Holcombe stated that an autopsy was scheduled to be performed on the body this morning. He stated that his office and the public safety department were working together on the investigation.
