Earth Day garden

Foster Park Elementary School celebrated Earth Day by cultivating the garden site and planting the school’s spring vegetable garden. Under the guidance of Jackie Johnson (garden coordinator) and Susan Adams (custodian), the students planted corn, green beans, squash, okra, and white potatoes. Mrs. Vinson’s class, with the help of assistants, planted tomato plants. The students enjoy watching the plants grow and eventually, harvesting the vegetables.

The grant would enable the company to install approximately 31,000 linear feet of new water main on eight different roadways and improve water quality. If requested to do so, should the county sponsor more such grant applications by other local water companies?
