On Saturday, April 29, the Union Carvers Club presented a hand-carved bowl and two ladles to the Union County Historical Society during the Living History Event IV at the Cross Keys Plantation. The bowl was carved by members of the club from a burl on a felled walnut tree at the plantation. Pictured on the front row are David Turner, Buddy Smith, Ola Jean Kelly and Bannie Kennedy. On the second row are Dick Stalnaker, Walter Garner and Butch Starnes. Turner, Kennedy, Stalnaker, Garner and Starnes are members of the club. Mr. Smith and Mrs. Kelly were representing the Historical Society and the Union County Museum.
