UNION — Luminary bags that honor the survivors of cancer and remember those who have lost that battle are part of the Corinth Baptist Church Relay For Life team’s fund raising efforts.

The team held a “Yard Sale & Fish Sandwich Sale” on Saturday at the Union County Stadium. The sales came on the heels of a Chinese auction the team held to raise money for Relay For Life.

Team member Emma Garner said the team is also selling luminary bags that honor those who have survived their battle with cancer and the memory of those who lost their battle with the disease. Garner said she has purchased one of the luminary bags in memory of her mother. The bags, which can be bought from any member of a Relay For Life team, cost $10.

Garner said the luminary bags will be placed at the Union County Stadium around the track where the Relay For Life walk will take place May 10.
