JONESVILLE — Santa Claus will make countless stops during the Christmas season, and he has not forgotten about The Potter’s Storehouse in Jonesville.

The Potter’s Storehouse will hold its next distribution event on Dec. 8, and Pastor Don Moore said the Jolly Old Elf himself will make an appearance.

“Santa will be in town this Saturday with gifts for all the children,” Moore said.

Moore said Santa will bring a variety of gifts including stuffed animals, board games, dolls and many other small toys for children in attendance.

In addition to an appearance from Santa Claus, The Potter’s Storehouse will provide food and other items as it does year round on a semimonthly basis. However there will be additional items available especially for Christmas. Moore said extra items will include outside Christmas decorations, some new clothes and hundreds of other miscellaneous items for people to choose from.

Moore and The Potter’s Storehouse are also asking for canned good donations.

“We have a lot of staple food items, but we need about 2,500 mixed canned food items,” Moore said.

Those who would like to donate canned goods can drop them off at The Potter’s Storehouse by Friday. On Friday, donations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Following this Saturday’s distribution event, the next distribution will take place Dec. 22.

Anyone who would like to donate to The Potter’s Storehouse to assist with the power bill and operating expenses is asked to call Moore at (864) 680-3465.
