UNION — Union County linebacker Braylon Brown wreaked havoc on the Broome offense Friday night.
The 6-foot-1, 206-pound junior added a spark to Jackets’ defense, contributing 10 solo tackles with five assists and two tackles for losses, helping his team to a 51-37 win. Brown and the defense held Broome to 188 rushing yards for its lowest total rushing game of the season.
“Braylon played an excellent game,” said Union County Head Coach Steve Taneyhill. “He’s just gotten better each week.”
On the opposite side of the ball, senior running back Trayvon Davis paced the Jackets’ offense.
“Tray had another big game for us both rushing and receiving,” said Taneyhill.
Davis rushed for 127 yards on 13 carries with a six-yard touchdown scamper and pulled down two catches for 64 yards.
