UNION — Junior wide receiver T.J. Foster came up big for Union County on Friday night snagging five catches for 154 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.
The Jackets went on to rout Wren 56-28 in the first round of Division AAA playoffs.
Union County Head Coach Steve Taneyhill recently added Foster and wide receiver Chris Booker to the defense as safeties and has been extremely pleased with the results.
On Friday, Foster made an astonishing one-handed interception in the first quarter.
“T.J. had a few great catches at wide receiver and also that unbelievable interception on defense,” said Taneyhill. “He picked a good night to play his best game.”
