Yellow Jacket cross country teams continue to improve

The Union County Varsity Cross Country Teams ran Saturday at the Wendy's Invitational Meet in Charlotte, N.C. logging their best times of the season.
Teams from throughout the Southeast participated, giving the Jackets some of their strongest competition yet this season.
Amanda Sinclair led the girls' team to a 15th place finish out of 31 teams in the Girls' Open race.
Results were Sinclair (20:18) 31st; Hydia Greene (21:02) 59th; Christa Green (21:21) 74th; Kirsten Sanders (22:07) 106th; Abby Allen (23:54) 152nd; Brittany Best (24:48) 169th; and Annie Willard (25:57) 186th.
The boys' team finished 25th out of 29 teams in the Boys' Open race, led by Jesse Luttner.
Boys' results were Luttner (17:35) 50th; Ethan Turner (18:46)131st; Brandon Burton (18:57) 142nd; Michael Kitchens (20:24) 183rd; Cameron Cook (20:37) 188th; and Cash Armstrong (21:19) 195th.
The Jackets run at home 5 p.m. tonight.
