Will Walker, son of Mike and Martha Walker of Elberton, GA, completed his freshman year at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta on the Dean’s List. In order to make Dean’s List at Georgia Tech, a student must complete a full schedule with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Walker is majoring in Industrial Engineering. Walker also was initiated into the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order (KA) at Georgia Tech, and was a member of Fresh GA, the Georgia Tech freshman student council, and he will be an advisor for the Fresh GA for the 2012-2013 school year.
Walker, the 2011 Elbert County Comprehensive High School salutatorian, is the grandson of Colonel and Mrs. William J. Whitener of Union, and the late George and Anne Walker of Fall Branch,TN. He is the great-grandson of Mrs. Alta Walker of Greeneville,TN.
