Mrs. Pruitt was born in Buffalo, June 29, 1926, a daughter of the late Maple Davis. She was formerly employed with United Merchants - Buffalo Plant and retired from Conso Products. Mrs. Pruitt was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church where she was a member of Rosa Roundtree Sunday School Class and the Annie Massey Circle. Mrs. Pruitt was also active with the Senior Citizens of Buffalo. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 66 years are a daughter, Cynthia P. McKinney and husband James of Spartanburg and a granddaughter, Mitzi Mullinax and husband Brad of Boiling Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Kevin Dalton. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Maness, Jimmy Massey, Walter Gaines, Russ Sanders, Mike Johnson and James Whitehead.
Visitation will be held from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
