Union County’s girls soccer team won an exciting game against Chapman Thursday.

The Lady Jackets scored first with a goal by Kirsten Sanders, giving them a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Chapman scored in the second half to tie the game and force overtime.

No goals were scored in overtime so the game went into a shoot-out. Sanders, Kelsey Turner, Ivy Murphy and Neeley Owens all made their shots but it was tied 4-4, so the game went into sudden death.

Lady Jacket Shayna Williford scored on her shot and Kelsey Wright made a save on the next shot to win the game.
