Fans of the Church Softball League action got their fill over the course of two nights at the South Hill Complex as a total of 10 teams played a total of eight games.

In A League action Thursday evening, Tabernacle Baptist Church beat Crestview Baptist Church 17-13 while Mon-Aetna Baptist Church trounced West Springs Baptist Church 10-0. In B League action, Lakeside Baptist Church beat Bethel Methodist Church 18-14 while Buffalo Methodist Church beat New Life Baptist Church 12-11.

On Friday, Crestview won its A League match against Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church 12-2 while West Springs beat First Presbyterian Church 12-10. The B League saw Putman Baptist Church defeated Bethel 8-4 while New Life Baptist won its game against Morningside Baptist Church 15-11.

The Church Softball League, which is sponsored by the Union County Recreation Department, was scheduled to play again Monday.

In the A League at 7 p.m., Tabernacle Baptist was scheduled to take on Mon-Aetna followed at 8 p.m. by Crestview versus West Springs. The winner of the Crestview-West Springs contest would then face the loser of the Tabernacle-Mon-Aetna game at 9:15 p.m.

In the B League at 7 p.m., Lakeside was scheduled to play Buffalo, followed at 8 p.m. by Putman vs. New Life. The winner of the Putman-New Life game would then take on the loser of the Tabernacle-Buffalo contest at 9:15 p.m.
