Brain Power
Good example of a Brain Study: If you can read this OUT LOUD you have a strong mind.
And better than that: Alzheimer’s is a long, long, ways down the road before it ever gets anywhere near you. To my “selected” strange-minded friends and readers:
If you can read the following paragraph, give it to your friends. Only great minds can read this. This is weird, but interesting! Even if you are not old, you will find this interesting.

Isn’t It Funny?
Isn’t it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world’s going to hell.
Isn’t it funny how someone can say ‘I believe in God’ but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also ‘believes’ in God).
Isn’t it funny how you can send a thousand jokes through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing?
Isn’t it funny how when you go to send a message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you’re not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them.
Isn’t it funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me.
Murphy’s Other Laws
Did you know that in an old house in Buffalo an old scroll was found that contained laws of Murphy that were previously unknown. These truths are so applicable that I thought I would share them with you. So here are more, previously unknown Murphy’s Laws:
1. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
2. A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well.
3. He, who laughs last, thinks slowest.
4. Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
5. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
6. The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there’s a 90 percent probability you’ll get it wrong.
7. The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those, who got there first.
8. Flashlight: A case for holding dead batteries.
9. The shin bone is a device for finding furniture in the dark.
Wisdom Can Be Found Just About Anywhere
Some of the wisest wisdom can be found on signs in bars. I really do not know because I do not go to bars. But my friend, Bubba, does and he shares some great words of wisdom that we should apply to our lives. Here they are:
HAPPINESS: To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.
LONGEVITY: Married men live longer than single men do, but married men are a lot more willing to die.
HOW TO STOP PEOPLE FROM BUGGING YOU ABOUT GETTING MARRIED: Old aunts used to come up to Herman at weddings, poking him in the ribs and cackling, telling him, “You’re next.” They stopped after Herman started doing the same thing to them at funerals.
ABOUT LIFE: If life is a waste of time, and time is a waste of life, then let’s all get wasted together and have the time of our lives. (Armand’s Pizza, Washington , D.C).
MAKING A COMEBACK: It’s hard to make a comeback when you haven’t been anywhere (Written in the dust on the back of a bus, Wickenburg, AZ).
ABOUT MARRIAGE: Make love, not war. Shucks, do both …GET MARRIED! (Women’s restroom, The Filling Station, Bozeman, MT).
Some more “wisdom” from the bathroom coming soon!
Birthdays
Having birthdays this week are Linda Roark and Matthew Long on Thursday, Sept. 27; Morgan Morris on Saturday, Sept. 29; Becky Hyatt and Samuel V. Elliott III on Sunday, Sept. 30.
If you know these “Birthday Honorees” please give them a call and wish them the best birthday ever! HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ME TO YOU!
Prayer Concerns
Let’s continue to pray for Heather Fleming, wife of Chris Fleming, as she nears the time for the birth of their second child. He/she could come at any moment.

If you can read this, you have a strange mind, too. Only 55 people out of 100 can.
I could not believe that I could actually understand what I was reading. The phenomenal power of the human mind, according to a research at Cambridge University, it doesn’t matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Amazing huh? Yeah and I always thought spelling was important! If you can read this, give it to a friend.
My Thoughts: Easy vs. Hard
Why is it so hard to tell the truth, but yet so easy to tell a lie?
Why are we so sleepy in church, but right when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up?
Why is it so easy to delete a Godly e-mail, but yet we forward all of the nasty ones?
Of all the free gifts we may receive, prayer is the very best one. There are no costs, but wonderful rewards. GOD BLESS!
Thought Of The Week
Any act of cruelty no matter how small is ever forgotten. Any act of kindness no matter how small is ever wasted.
If You Have Good News
When you see, hear, or make news, hear good, funny, and clean jokes, please email your news and jokes to me at cap9296@aol.com, call me at 864-441-2371, mail your news to me at POB 128, Buffalo, or stop me on the street. When you celebrate good things in your life, I would like to share that with the good people of Buffalo. You want to laugh. I want to laugh. So please make me laugh.
Until next week, may God bless you richly.
