UNION — Roosevelt “Sonny” Hughes, 65, 490 Joe Walker Road, died April 22, 2012.
A native of Union, he was the son of the late Willie Monroe Hughes and the late Mary Rice Hughes. He attended the public schools of Union County and was a former employee of Cone Mills Carlisle Finishing Plant.
Survivors include three sisters, Willie Mae Thompson of Jonesville and Pearline Hughes and Mary Hughes (Jimmy) Davis, both of Union.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Wyatt Chapel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Michael A. Glenn Funeral Home, 2212 Santuc Carlisle Highway.
The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Mary Davis, 456 Joe Walker Road, Union.
