UNION – A number of elections on Union County voters’ ballots included candidates who ran unopposed.
S.C. House Of Representatives District 42
In State House of Representatives District 42, incumbent Miken Anthony (Democrat) received a total of 10,752 votes in Union County.
S.C. Senate District 13
In the election for State Senate District 13, Shane Martin (Republican) received a total of 5,194 votes in Union County.
S.C. Senate District 14
In the election for State Senate District 14, Harvey Peeler (Republican) received a total of 1,821 votes in Union County.
S.C. Senate District 18
In the election for State Senate District 18, Ronnie Cromer (Republican) received a total of 1,533 in Union County.
Sixteenth Circuit Solicitor
In the election for Circuit Solicitor 16, incumbent Kevin Bracket (Republican) received a total of 8,335 votes in Union County.
Soil And Water District Commission
In the race for a seat on the Soil and Water District Commission, Nonpartisan candidate Henry L. Sprouse ran unopposed and received 9,003 votes in Union County.
Fire Boards
Two seats were vacant on the Jonesville Fire District Board of Trustees, and there were two candidates. James Harvey Jr. received a total of 928 votes, and John Vaughan received a total of 625 votes.
There were three vacant seats on the Monarch Fire District Board of Trustees to be decided, and there were three candidates — Donald “Snake” Robinson, who received 613 votes; Larry Robinson, who received 565 votes; and Brad Jolly, who received 634 votes.
There were also three vacant seats on the Santuc Fire District Board of Trustees, and there were three candidates — Albert Gregory, who received a total of 404 votes; Eddie Hines, who received a total of 529 votes; and Nancy Richardson, who received a total of 406 votes.
Brown’s Creek Watershed
Three seats were vacant for the Brown’s Creek Watershed, and there were three candidates — Twig Adams, who received 664 votes; C.W. Garner, who received 681 votes; and Wayne Springs, who received 511 votes.
