FamilySearch (Genealogy)

The Union County Carnegie Library announces it is the newest FamilySearch affiliate library. The new designation means library patrons will have greater and more convenient access to the wealth of genealogical resources available through FamilySearch. The Union County Carnegie Library becomes the third library in South Carolina to be a FamilySearch affiliate, joining the Greenville and Richland County, SC libraries.

Unattended Children Policy

A new policy regarding children 12 years of age and under becomes effective July 30, 2012. You may get a copy of the policy at the library or call if you have questions.

Upcoming Events

The American Road to Victory Trilogy — Sept. 27, 2012

The Union County Carnegie Library, in conjunction with the Friends of the Library and the Elks Club of Union, brings you the opportunity to explore battlefields of World War II on Sept. 27, 2012 and Jan. 10, 2013 and meet some of the brave men who were there. The American Road to Victory trilogy presentations will be at the Elks Club of Union and each film screening will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Union County Carnegie Library Board of Trustees will meet Sept. 18, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the library. The meeting is open to the public.

Friends Of The Library Mini-Book Sale And Donation Dates

With the exception of 11/15, you may bring your book donations on the same date as the mini-sales.

Friends of the Library receive a 50 percent discount during sales!!!
