The Union County girls soccer team defeated Mid-Carolina 2-0 last Thursday for their first win of the season.

Coach Keith Wagner said that while there were some missed opportunities on offense, the team played very well defensively and that he was proud of them for playing a complete game.

Union County’s two goals were scored by Ivy Murphy and Cierra Casey.

The Lady Jackets will begin region play on the road Monday against Chapman.
