SPARTANBURG — Kenneth Wayne Young, 47, 161 McArthur St., died June 29, 2012 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Union, he was the husband of Barbara Ann Lipscomb Young of the home and the son of Kay Frances Young of Union and Leroy Johnson of Spartanburg. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, a 1983 graduate of Union High School, and an employee of Milliken Packaging Company.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include two daughters, Kenyetta Young of Greenville and De’Ian Floyd of Spartanburg; two brothers, Terrance Young of Las Vegas, NV and Cassius Johnson of Greenwood; three sisters, Beverly (Eustace) Duncan of Kileen, TX, Kimberly Young of Simpsonville, and Yvette Johnson of Union; one granddaughter, Pailyn Farmer of Greenville; two step-granddaughters reared in the home, Zhynbrekia Floyd and Zhymahjia Floyd; two additiona; step-granddaughters, Da’Osha Fields and Da’Areona Wright; two step-grandsons, Devante’ Fields and Deaaron Wright; and one step-great-grandson, King Samuels.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Saint Paul Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. A. L. Brackett will officiate.
Burial will be in the Union Memorial Gardens in Union.
The family will receive friends at the home and at the home of his mother, 135 Horseshoe Circle, Union.
