TRAVELERS REST — John Forrest Ham, Sr., 80, of Travelers Rest, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late John Forrest and Stella Gault Ham. John was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, retired from D&D Ford and a member of Old Fashioned Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Beheler Ham who God blessed with 50 joyful years together; sons Daryl Ham, John F. Ham, Jr.; daughters Lisa McCarson, Adrianne Crowder; sisters Jency Ham, Mary Ann Sanders (Buck); brother Harold “Bo” Ham; grandchildren Eric and Elizabeth McCarson, Brian and Phillip Crowder, Skyler Gillespie, and Forrest Segar.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Wallace Carroll Ham and Jessie Ray Ham.
A memorial celebration will take place on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, from 1-3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
The family will be at 125 Clearview Circle in Travelers Rest.
