The number of persons arrested in the ongoing “Summer Slam 3” anti-drug sweep has risen to 38.

Union County Sheriff David Taylor announced Friday that four more people have been arrested, either by his office or the Union Public Safety Department, as part of Summer Slam 3. The anti-drug sweep began Monday morning when sheriff’s deputies and public safety officers and members of the Union County Drug Taskforce went throughout the county to serve a total of 86 warrants on 43 individuals. By the end of the day, 34 of the 43 persons sought in the sweep had been arrested on a variety of drug and other charges.

In announcing the arrests, Taylor said that Summer Slam 3 would continue until all those being sought in the anti-drug sweep were in custody. As of Friday morning, four of the nine remaining individuals still being sought in Summer Slam 3 had been arrested.

The following individual was arrested by the Union Public Safety:

• Ashley Sanders, 28, 525 Kelly Road, #4, Union, charged with distribution of a controlled substance.

The following individuals were arrested by the Union County Sheriff’s Office:

• Theodore Hall, 23 139 Rook Road, Union, charged with distribution of marijuana.

• Christine Moody, 35, 213 S. 1st St., Lockhart, charged with two counts of distribution of a Schedule III narcotic.

• Jeremy Lee Moody, 29, 213 S. 1st St., Lockhart, charged with distribution of a Schedule III narcotic and distribution of a Schedule III narcotic within a 1/2 mile of a park.
