James Baber and Monica Haney of Union, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Laura Baber, to Mark Daniel Weber.
The bride graduated from Union High School, Limestone College, and Gardner-Webb University. She is employed by Milliken & Company in Spartanburg, S.C.
Mark is the son of the late David Weber and Mary Weber of Canal Fulton, OH.
The groom graduated from Northwest High School and Columbus State. He is employed by the Greenville City Fire Department in Greenville, S.C.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 6, 2012, at Bethel United Methodist Church in Union, S.C. The Rev. Don Alexander will preside over the ceremony.
