Born on April 27, 1929 to the late Tate Gentry and Ruth H. Davis, Mrs. Wilson was a member of Mt. Rowell Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and Senior Choir.
Surviving are her husband, Willie A Wilson of the home; three daughters, Janice (Eugene) Spencer and Madelyn Wilson, both of Belmont, NC, and Martha (John) Walton of Union, SC; three sons, Brinston (Patricia) Wilson of Belmont, NC, Lawrence (Perleen) Wilson of Union, SC, and Morris (Patricia) Simpson of Hartford, CT; one sister, Lillian (Kenneth) Caldwell of Campspring, MD, four brothers, Charles (Brenda) Davis and Julius (Jackie) Davis, both of Belmont. NC, Lonnie (Valerie) Davis of Fayetteville, NC, and Roy (Deborah) Davis of Mt. Holley, NC; one aunt, one uncle, 23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 at Mt. Rowell Baptist Church with the Pastor Russell Sheppard, officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place from 2-2:30 p.m., Thursday, immediately prior to the service.
The Gibson & Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
