The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Jennifer Nicole Johnson, 30, of 405 Drug Store Street, Buffalo, and Melissa Sue Cannon, 27, of 231 Gin Circle, Buffalo, were both charged with breach of peace around 6:56 p.m. on January 31. According to the incident report, the two women were involved in a fight at a residence on Drug Store Street in Buffalo. Both women were transported to Union County Jail.
— Corey Antron Gilliam, 30, of 492 Goldville Road, Whitmire, was charged with assault on a corrections officer and simple possession of marijuana. According to the incident report, Gilliam was brought into the Union County Detention Center for a bench warrant, and during the booking process, Gilliam grabbed paperwork and shoved an officer. The officer struggled with Gilliam, placed him in handcuffs and transported him to Union County Jail. Upon entering the Union County Jail, an officer found a plastic baggy containing a green, leafy substance in Gilliam’s right front pocket.
— Christopher Shane Smith, 33, of 216 Kelly Road, Union, was charged with threatening a public employee on January 30. According to the incident report, officers received a call from the Union County Detention Center in reference to Smith threatening an officer. A warrant was served on Smith and he was moved to Union County Jail.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Linersville Road, Buffalo, reported on January 31 that someone shot the window in the entry door to his garage. The victim located two gold-colored pieces of metal in the garage that were not his. Photos were taken and a victim’s advocate form was issued.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incident:
— A Jonesville resident reported on January 31 that money had been taken from her bank account without authorization on several dates between Nov. 6, 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013. Her Arthur State Bank statement shows that the transactions were paid to Alltel Wireless. While the victim said she has an account with Alltel, she pays her bill online, and the transactions in question were separate from those payments. The case is under investigation.
