The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

— Jennifer Renee Zielinski, 38, of 102 Cabin St., Union, was charged as a fugitive from justice. According to the incident report, the Union County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office of Kentland, Ind., in reference to an outstanding warrant on Zielinski, who was believed to be living in Union. Zielinski was located and arrested on Jan. 3, and she was taken to Union County Jail.

— William Travis Fowler, 29, of 244 Mudbridge Road, Buffalo, was charged with breach of peace. According to the incident report, an officer responded to Fowler’s residence because of a disturbance. The officer spoke with all parties involved, and as the officer was walking to his patrol car to leave, Fowler began yelling obscenities. Fowler was then placed under arrest and taken to Union County Jail.

— Brian Lee Walker, 29, of 1404 Sulfur Springs Road, Jonesville, was charged with shoplifting. According to the incident report, Walker was in the Kangaroo gas station located at 400 S. Main St., Jonesville, and took two lottery tickets from behind the counter while the cashier’s back was turned. The cashier asked him to give the tickets back, which he did, along with other items he had not paid for. However, he did not give back one item. Officers located Walker, patted him down and found a Jack Link’s “Lil’ Chub” sausage in his back right pants pocket. Walker was placed under arrest and transported to Union County Jail.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

— The manager of Family Dollar, located at 1230 South Duncan Bypass in Union, reported Jan. 4 that two males came into the store, cut open a package containing an MP3 player and removed it. One threw away the package in the store restroom, while the other male left the store with the MP3 player in his pocket. The estimated value of the MP3 player is $20. A copy of the surveillance video will be made for investigators, and the empty package was taken as evidence.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Taylor Kaye Cudd, 19, of 126 Pineview Road, Union, and Charles Lee Sims, 20, of 205 Old Airport Road, Whitmire, were both charged with disorderly conduct. According to arrest warrants, Cudd and Sims engaged in a verbal and physical altercation at Quality Inn, located at 315 North Duncan Bypass in Union.

— Quandarius Shamar Dawkins, 18, of 1224 N. Pinckney St., Union, was charged with assault and battery. According to the arrest warrant, Dawkins punched a female in the face at a residence on Lakeside Drive in Union.

— Christopher Shane Smith, 33, of 308 Lakewood Drive, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct. According to the incident report, Smith was found sitting on a bucket at the end of a driveway on East Lee Street. Smith told an officer that he was not trespassing and that he only wanted to get money owed to him by the resident of the home. The report says Smith continued to curse and cause a disturbance while in the street.

— Bryan Scott Wade, 39, of 233 Munroe St., Union, was charged with shoplifting. According to the arrest warrant, Wade took a package of cologne valued at $36.86, removed it from its package and concealed it in his coat pocket while at Wal-Mart in Union.

— Erica Harley Brown, 18, of 808 W. Main St., Union, was charged with shoplifting. According to the incident report, Brown removed several pieces of clothing from hangers and concealed them inside the clothing she was wearing while in Wal-Mart.

— Travis Eric Vaughan, 18, of 808 W. Main St., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct.

— John Edward Brandon, 35, of 105 McBeth St., Union, was charged with malicious damage. According to the arrest warrant, Brandon used a sharp object to puncture the sidewall of three tires on someone else’s car while at 103 Horseshoe Circle in Union.
