National Walk to School Day

Foster Park Elementary celebrated its National Walk 2 School Day on Oct. 3 by conducting a school wide walk around Veteran’s Park. The event was a success as students and staff were joined by many friends and family members. It’s estimated that around 700 participants partook in this event which emphasizes the importance of issues such as increasing physical activity among children, pedestrian safety, concern for the environment and building connections between families, schools and the broader community.
