There were a few clear winners as the BCS polls were upended on Saturday with Notre Dame now controlling it’s own destiny in the No. 1 spot. The SEC will benefit from the losses of Oregon and Kansas State who suffered season defining upsets to Stanford and Baylor and will likely see it’s conference winner playing for the National Championship.

South Carolina slipped from ninth to 12th in the national polls after coming off a 27-7 win over Wofford while Clemson remains in 11th following a 62-48 win over North Carolina State.

The Palmetto State showdown this Saturday will offer more than just bragging rights for the winner since the BCS rankings will be directly impacted.

Kickoff for the Clemson/South Carolina game is set for 7 p.m. ET from Clemson Memorial Stadium.
