UNION — Mrs. Clady Mae Evans Parks, 84, 186 Parks Lane, Union, widow of David Jesse Parks, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Parks was born in Kershaw, S.C., April 24, 1928, a daughter of the late John David Evans and Susie Mae Coker Evans. She retired from United Merchants-Union Plant after 43 years of service. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Davis and husband Bobby Joe and Cindy Gaston and husband Tom; a son, David Stanley Parks and wife Deborah; a sister, Doris Jett, all of Union; seven grandchildren, April Moore, Hunter Davis, Rebecca Dennis, Stanley Gaston, Bob Davis, Nick Davis and Lori Willis Richards and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Parks was predeceased by two sisters, Agnes Griffin and Margaret Alman.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Members of the Madeline Holcombe Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group.

Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family is at the home, 186 Parks Lane, Union.
