UNION — Mrs. Carolyn Price Godfrey, 71, wife of Abrain Christopher Godfrey, 1097 Monarch Highway, Union, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mrs. Godfrey was formerly of Woodruff.

Mrs. Godfrey was born in Enoree, S.C., Sept. 24, 1941, a daughter of the late John Henry Casey and Carrie Cathcart Casey Robinson. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Trudy P. Lipsey and husband John of Union; a sister, Jackie Olivera of Texas; a stepdaughter, Hazel Rice and husband Marcel of Woodruff; seven grandchildren John Lipsey Jr. and wife Karen, Jethro Lipsey, Marie Lipsey, Candice Glover, Constance Glover, Christoper Waters and Jerome Waters; six great-grandchildren, Mikala and Tyelar Lipsey, Jadalyn Procter, Averi Clark, Ayonna Waters and Shyndrezz Neal.

Mrs. Godfrey was predeceased by a grandson, Roscoe Lipsey.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. David Lewis, Rev. Carrol Caldwell and Rev. Buster Ball. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Trudy and John Lipsey, 107 Neal Shoals Road, Union.
