UNION — Students in Buffalo Elementary School’s second grade classes toured downtown Union recently, making stops at the Union County Arts Council, the Union County Museum, Arthur State Bank and the Union County Court House. Faculty and volunteers accompanied approximately100 students on the tour.

While at UCAC, the students viewed the Anne Knopf Memorial Art Show, which is showing the works of teachers in the public school system and is dedicated to the memory of Knopf who taught in the Union County school system.

“This tour came at a great time since our show is meant to celebrate the life and work of a teacher,” said UCAC coordinator Jackie Senn. “It was amazing to see how some of these young children took to the art.”
