God’s Accuracy ………The Facts

I came across this article recently. I do not know if you have read this before, but I found it so interesting.

This is awesome! How Great is our God! Our Creator and Redeemer … and do we THINK about it ??? God’s accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs … For example: the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days; those of the canary in 14 days; those of the barnyard hen in 21 days; the eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days; those of the mallard in 35 days; the eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!)

God’s wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.

The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation!

God’s wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains. Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind. Each orange has an even number of segments. Each ear of corn has an even number of rows. Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains. Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number.

The waves of the sea roll in on shore 26 to the minute in all kinds of weather.

All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, and the Lord specified thirty fold, sixty fold, and a hundred fold all even numbers.

God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day. Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!

The lives of each of you may be ordered by the Lord in a beautiful way for His glory, if you will only entrust Him with your life. If you try to regulate your own life, it will only be a mess and a failure. Only the One Who made the brain and the heart can successfully guide them to a profitable end.

I HOPE YOU FIND THIS AS FASCINATING AS I DID. May God Bless You In Ways You Never Even Dreamed.

Teaching Our Daughters!

We need to teach our daughters to distinguish between a man who flatters her and a man who compliments her; a man who spends money on her and a man who invests in her; a man who views her as property and a man who views her properly; a man who lusts after her and a man who loves her; a man who believes he is a gift to women and a man who believes she’s a gift to him. Then we need to teach our sons to be that kind of man.

What Do You Use?

Walter, who is quite elderly, is resting peacefully on the front porch of a nursing home in the country when he sees a cloud of dust up the road. He watches a farmer approaching with a wagon.

“Good afternoon!” hollers out Walter.

“Afternoon,” says the farmer.

“Where you headed?” asks Walter.

“Town.”

“What do you have in the wagon?” Walter continued.

“Manure.”

“Manure, eh? What do you do with it?”

“I spread it over my strawberries,” the farmer says matter-of-factly.

“Well,” says Walter, “you should come back here for lunch someday. We use whipped cream.”

Wanna Job

A woman walked up to the manager of a department store.

“Are you hiring any help?” she asked.

“No,” he said. “Thank you, but we already have all the staff we need.”

“Well, then would you mind getting someone to wait on me?” she asked.

Prayer Concerns

I hope that we all can join together and pray for the families in Colorado who lost their loved ones to a crazed killer last Friday night. Let’s also pray for those in the hospital and for the physical and emotional scars they will carry the rest of their lives. We have many citizens of our county in the hospital, in nursing homes, and at home that desperately need our prayers for healing, comfort, courage, and grace.

My Thoughts

Unless you were on the moon last Friday night, you have heard about and seen on television the horrific massacre that occurred in Aurora, Colorado. I believe that 12 were killed and 58 injured by a gunman dressed as “The Joker.” As of this writing, 18 of those 58 people are still in the hospital.

Well, the brevity of life is no joke. One minute everyone was enjoying the movie presentation of Batman. The next moment people lay dying in the seats. One moment those 12 people, and probably more, were enjoying this life. The next moment they were beginning their eternity in either heaven or hell, depending on their relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

We take life for granted. We assume that death comes when we have reached “the golden years.” But that is not so. The youngest person killed in Colorado was only 6 years old.

As a minister, a Christian, and your friend, I cannot let this incident pass without making you aware of how fragile this life is and how much happiness or how much torment awaits us in the next life; without reminding you that Jesus said in the Bible, “I am the way [the only way] and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father [and heaven] except through me.”

I invite anyone who does not know for certain as to their eternal destination to call me and, together, let’s make sure that you are not going to that “other place.” Let’s not let procrastination lead to damnation.

We Live In An Evil World

Yes, we no longer live in the days of Bonanza, The Rifleman, or Andy Griffith. Instead, we live in a world in which every day we are bombarded by evil acts and movies that display blood, gore, killing, sex, and Satanic themes.

Folks, it was not the guns that killed those innocent people in Colorado. Guns do not kill people. People kill people. If this villain was unable to use guns, he would have used explosives. Evil hearts and evil minds will always find evil ways to commit evil acts.

For those who have a relationship with God, there is no reason to fear. We are all part of the Family of God and God promises us in the Bible that the devil will not be able to destroy any of His family and His church. The day is coming when once again everything will be set right with planet earth. Just as the previous paragraph emphasized, life is so fragile and brief here on planet earth. But eternity is so long and so wonderful for those who are of the Family of God. One of the greatest promises of the Bible is found in John 6:39. Look it up and rejoice!

Thought Of The Week

“Each of us is only one (1) heartbeat from either heaven or hell.”

Reverend! An Evil World? Really? We visit the Union area on a regular basis. Never have I found nicer more sincere and God fearing people than in Union and the small surrounding towns of Buffalo and Whitmire. Even your small amount of wicked fear the Lord. I pray for them. Rejoice in your place in life. The Lord looked out for you by landing you and your flock there.
