All of you know by now that Butch Carter has had a motorcycle accident while on his way to Myrtle Beach. All of us need to pray for a full recovery for him. I believe he’s in the hospital in Charleston. Most of his information is on Facebook.

Someone is looking for a sitter for his 6 year old, first grader. Maybe someone whose child is also in her room, just to go home with until her dad gets off of work. He is a single father and works with Hospice in York. He has moved to N. 3rd St. here in Lockhart. You can call me and leave a phone number if interested. She goes to Lockhart Elementary and her name is Jessie.
Race For A Haircut
Sunday, while working I heard a commotion outside, it was a race to see who made it inside the shop first. See on Sundays there are no appointments for haircuts, just walk-ins.
Tracy Vanderford pulled up just a second after Vern Sprouse did. They saw each other and took off running for the door. It was so funny, and Tracy won. But since Vern’s cut takes about 10 minutes and she takes a lot longer since she has a lot of hair, she let him go first. It was like a train wreck as the door was flung open.
Just before they came in, I really thought my air conditioner had gone crazy on me. After it would turn off, I could still hear the fan going but nothing was blowing out. I would turn it on, and it would cool. Immediately turn it off and the fan was still running. I took the front off of it, but couldn’t see in the back.
What was I going to do? It was a really hot day, and I thought about the customers and all the conditioners have been sold out of the stores.
Well guess what? I had used the blow dryer on my previous customer and forgot for some reason to turn it off. and it was right under my air conditioner. That’s what I heard blowing. Just another day in the life of ME!
Annette and Sandy contributed to my Medihome Hospice Christmas box Sunday. I appreciate all the help from my friends. Don’t forget those throws, but we can use everything. For some reason we’re not doing as good this year as in the past. Lockhart has always given the most gifts and I hope we continue being number one. We hate to leave anyone without a gift at Christmas. Some of these people don’t have any family left to remember them at the holiday time.
A tenant placed his order at the pet store, “I need at least fifty mice, two thousand ants, and as many of those little silverfish as you have.”
The clerk replied, “We can probably do that, but it’s a strange request. Mind if I ask why?”
The tenant replied, “I’ve taken a job in another city, and the landlord told me to leave the apartment the way I found it.”
Before borrowing money from a friend, decide which you need most.
