We had our first meeting for the Christmas Parade, this was just to get an idea of all that needs to be done. Patti and Dale Inman (assistant fire chief of Lockhart), Ailene Ashe and myself were the only ones there. But we accomplished quite a lot. Next week the firemen will join us and find out their duties.

I hope you will get creative and make a float for our parade. We want this to be the best, and fun for everyone. We’ve always had great parades, with guests from surrounding towns to come and watch. Except for last year, and we had a horrible rain storm, so let’s hope for nice weather this year.

Please call me if you want to be in the parade: 1-864-545-6652.

The only 4-wheelers allowed in the parade will be the ones pulling a float. This rule continues every year. You can decorate your golf cart if you want.

Walking The Fair

Well, Chuck and I walked the Fair, Saturday, and saw lots of friends. You know, you walk a few feet, see someone, talk for awhile, move a few more feet meet someone else, etc. That’s what we go for, to meet up with old friends that you very seldom see.

I love to look at the art and photos. So much talent. Gina wants me to put some drawings or paintings in, but it’s been years since I’ve done anything (and) when would I find the time?! She was a great photographer, and won first and all in contests before, so she needs to get back at it also. Do we waste time or are we just lazy?! Maybe one day.

Two years ago, we tried a funnel cake, before we went home. So good! So now at the end of our Fair night we sit down and share the funnel cake.

Puppy

Gina puppy sat for Chuck’s little new pup. CJ is the creative name he came up with. (Connie Junior). Ha, ha! Gina asked Chuck where the off button was on the puppy. She’s full speed. But we enjoy her (Gina and I). I think she’s a lot of work for Chuck, but he wanted a puppy. Does anybody know why she would want to chew up a puppy p.pad?? That’s what he says she does.

Wellness Event

Volunteers Needed

Jacob’s Well is looking for volunteers to help put the food boxes together, that they give out once a month. I don’t have their phone number, so just call Town Hall and tell Brenda or Ailene that you want to volunteer. 545-2103.

Trash Collection

If your trash is not being picked up please call my place or town hall to get Joe Woods phone number, so you can tell him how to get to your home. Just be patient, anytime you have something new it takes awhile to get the kinks out of it.

Medi-Home Christmas

If you want to contribute to the Medi-Home Christmas box, you can bring your gifts to my shop at 411 Lockhart Drive in Lockhart. They are usually picked up around Thanksgiving.

The gifts are really appreciated. They go to the seniors at the nursing homes and retirement apartments. If there’s enough to go around.

Thank you to all that have helped me in the past years.

Quite A Sight

My sight impaired friend was in a grocery store with her guide dog when the manager asked, “Is that a blind dog?”

My friend said, “I hope not, or we’re both in trouble.

Well good night, call 1-864-545-6652.
