ROCK HILL — Mrs. Eunice P. Parkins, 79, passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at Harbor Chase.


A graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 at Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Chaplain Vernon Thornhall Jr. officiating.


Born in Cherokee County, S.C., Mrs. Parkins was a daughter of the late Robert Amos Parker and the late Mable Wortman Parker. She was retired from Sonoco Products. She was a homemaker for her children and grandchildren and was a member of Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church. She will be known for her unconditional love and dedication for her family. She loved music and singing.


She was the widow of William Parkins and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Oscar and Frank Parker; and her sister, Elizabeth Ann Parker.


Surviving are her sons, Donnie Parkins and his wife, Lynn of Jonesville and Ronnie Parkins of Sharon; her daughter, Elaine Parkins of Sharon; her brothers, Robert Lee Parker of Lockhart and Jimmy Parker of Sharon; her sisters, Betty Jo Spencer of Sharon and Cornelia Ertzberger of Filbert; her grandchildren, Destiney Pigman and her husband, Eric, Jondavid Parkins, Jared Parkins and his wife, Christy, Jordan Parkins and Justin Parkins and his wife, Brooke; and her great-grandchildren, Cole and Bret Pigman, Abigayle and Madelyn Parkins.


Mrs. Parkins can be viewed on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 after noon at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
