WHITMIRE — Mrs. Flora Mae Smith, 69, wife of Bobby Smith, 1862 Hwy 66, Whitmire, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Hickory Grove, S.C. Nov. 18, 1944, a daughter of the late James Herschell Hardin and Ella Belle Moss Hardin. She was a graduate of Hickory Grove High School and retired from Parragon Plastics in Union after 22 years of service. Mrs. Smith attended New Life Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Reginia Faulkenberry and husband Ronnie of Hickory Grove, Pamela Arrowood and husband Dennis of Whitmire and Sandra Toomey of the home; a son, Robert Smith and wife Kim of Buffalo; two sisters, Christine Hardin of Hickory Grove and Peggy Gaston of Chester; a brother, William “Shorty” Hardin of Hickory Grove; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at New Life Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Shannon Faulkner and Rev. Tommy Hope.

Active pallbearers will be Tack Brown, Larry Smith Jr, Steve Darling, Stevie Darling, Justun Richardson and Bubba Reardon.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P.O. Box 178, Clinton, S.C. 29325.

The family is at the home, 1862 Hwy 66, Whitmire and also at the home of her daughter Reginia and Ronnie Faulkenberry, 1334 Smithwood Lane, Hickory Grove, S.C. 29717.
