JONESVILLE — James Enoumas Giles (Sambo) was born Dec. 31, 1940 to the late Enoumas “Bo Spears” Giles and Lake Copeland Giles. He died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at his home, 194 Cedarwood Drive, Jonesville, S.C.

James, a member of New Emanuel Chapel Baptist Church, was a Trustee and member of the Men’s Choir. He began working at Kohler Company and continued for 45 years as a molder and trainer. He attended the Union County Public Schools

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 49 years, Mildred Eison Giles; two daughters, Lillie Glenn of Jonesville and Stephanie Porter of Union, S.C.; eight sisters, Gertrude Goode of Union, S.C., Shirley Goode (Herbert Sr.) of Jonesville, S.C., Vera Jean Dogan (Nathaniel Jr.) 0f Jonesville, S.C., Dorothy Ngongang of Charlotte, N.C., Emily Land of Union, S.C., Mary Watkins of Simpsonville, S.C., Sandra McBeth (John) of Union, S.C., Ruthie Giles of Fort Mill, S.C. and Virgie Henderson Glenn (Pap) of Jonesville, S.C.; and one brother, Roosevelt Giles of Atlanta, Ga; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren

Funeral service is at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at New Emanuel Chapel Baptist Church. The Eulogy will be delivered by the Rev. James Mason. Presiding will be the Rev. James Tillotson

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 29 from 12-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will be receiving friends at 194 Cederwood Drive, Jonesville.

Union Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
