UNION — Mrs. Vivian Babb Johnson, 86, widow of William Johnson Jr., passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Heartland of Union.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Buffalo, Sept. 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Robert Babb and Hazel Brooks Babb. She was a 1944 graduate of Union High School and was retired from United Merchants, Union Plant. Mrs. Johnson was a published author and gifted artist.
Surviving are two daughter, Carmen J. Jeter and husband Hugh of Union, and Donna J. Palmer of Charleston, and husband Darryl Palmer of Union; three sisters, Laura Childers and Barbara Lawson, both of Buffalo, and Lucille Hubbard of Denver, N.C.; two brothers, Ted Babb and C.L. Babb and wife Judy, all of Union; two grandsons, Collin Palmer and Jason Palmer, both of Spartanburg; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Lynn Ford.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Monday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
