CATAWBA — Funeral services for Paul Ruffin, Jr. will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.


A native of Philadelphia, PA, he was the only child of the late Paul Ruffin, Sr. and Richie Tee Ruffin. He was educated in the Philadelphia school system and graduated from St. Paul’s Protestant Institution. Paul served two years in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Shiloh Lodge No. 53, where he served as Worshipful Master and was a longtime member of Queen of Sheba and Order of the Eastern Star.


He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred R. Ruffin; and son, Kenneth P. Ruffin.


Paul leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Marsha A. Ruffin of the home; stepdaughter, Erna C. Jennings (Stacey Simpson) of Killeen, TX; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Public viewing will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home and from noon until time of the service Friday at the church.


The family will receive friends at the home.
