Lady Tigers prevail against Fairforest
SPARTANBURG — Sims Middle School won their match against Fairforest Monday winning three of four games.
Coach Tracy Duncan said that Fairforest won the first game but her team came back and won the next three, improving their performance with each game.
“Passing was better as a team, but our serves as a team did not look as well as we have in the past,” Duncan said of the first game. “The next three games, we played awesome. We looked like a team.
“Emily Phillips served really well in all three games,” she said. “McKenzie Grady and Alaysha Still played well with some digs and some great defensive plays. Bailey Betenbaugh and Shy Means served well in the last two games, also.”
Duncan said the Lady Tigers “finally looked like a team” and are looking forward to their match today at 4:30 p.m. against Rainbow Lake.
“This has been a confidence builder for us,” Duncan said of Monday’s victory. “Way to go Tigers.”
