The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Jamaine Markesie Lyles, 22, of 715 Dave Cole Road, Blair, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle around 4 p.m. Nov. 16. According to the incident report, Lyles attempted to dispose of a vehicle at Champions Scrap Metal Yard, located at 6331 Whitmire Highway, Whitmire, and the vehicle had been reported stolen in Myrtle Beach. Lyles was transported to Union County Jail.
— Dierris Gerard Jeter, 22, of 203 Harris St., Jonesville, was charged with third-degree assault and battery and malicious injury to property around midnight Nov. 16. According to the incident report, Jeter pushed a woman to the floor while at an address on Knitting Mill Street, Jonesville. The report also states Jeter kicked a door, damaging the frame, threw a computer and monitor on the floor and pulled a book case from the wall. Damage to the home was estimated at $400, and damage to the computer was estimated at $200.
— Christopher Dennis Lawson, 32, of 1055 Main St., Buffalo, was charged with an ABC violation around 8:25 p.m. Nov. 16. According to the incident report, officers initiated a traffic stop on Lawson for “failure to maintain lane” and observed an open liquor bottle in the front passenger floor board.
— Darrian Kashawn Davis, 23, of 113 Morning Glory Drive, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 12:45 p.m. Nov. 15.
— Tammie Jean Renwick, 40, of 518 Lovers Lane Road, Union, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia around 12:10 p.m. Nov. 15.
— Tracy Littlejohn Gregory, 33, and Bryan Scott Gregory, 36, both of 119 Balsam St., Union, were each charged with theft of utilities around 3:30 a.m. Nov. 16. According to the incident report, the subjects “had taken a straight pipe and hooked it from one end of the hook-up to the other end so that they could access water.”
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Farm Lake Road, Jonesville, reported on Nov. 16 that a heavyset, white male with balding, light color, possibly gray, hair pulled up to her residence in a white car with a black rag top. She said she walked up to the car and did not recognize the man, and she told him he was on private property and needed to leave. The complainant stated the man then pulled forward and struck her with the car as she walked away. She said she approached the subject again, slapped him in the face, and questioned him about hitting her with the car. She said the subject had slurred speech and appeared intoxicated. She said he asked her if she was going to call the police, and when she said yes, he struck her with the car a second time.
— A resident of JRM Recreation Road, Enoree, reported on Nov. 17 that several items had been stolen from his storage building. The complainant stated he was last in the building on Nov. 15. Missing items — including a Black & Decker 12-inch stand-up sander, a hand sander, a sawz-all, and a double portable compressor — are valued at a total of $435.
— The owner of a property on Whitmire Highway, Union, reported on Nov. 16 that someone drove through the yard and stole some scrap metal, an air compressor for a deer cooler, and a propane tank. The complainant stated he lives out of town and was last at the property on Nov. 8.
— A resident of Pine Street, Buffalo, reported on Nov. 16 that he and a friend were assaulted while at Buffalo Mill Pond the previous night. The victim stated two unknown white males wearing bright colored clothes struck him in the head and the eye, and when he fell, they kicked him in the ribs. He stated his friend tried to step in but was also assaulted in the process. The report states the subjects were on foot and ran back toward Linersville Road.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Judy Elizabeth Wood, 69, of 117 Stutts Avenue, Union, was charged with assault and battery around 7:47 p.m. Nov. 17. According to the incident report, Wood hit a woman in the arms and face, causing scratches.
— Miles Draughn Williams, 50, of 1108 N. Pinckney St., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 12:15 p.m.
— Peggy Sue Newton, 29, of 401 W. South St., Union, was charged with shoplifting around 7:50 p.m. Nov. 16. According to the incident report, Newton shoplifted $20 worth of merchandise from Walmart, located at North Duncan Bypass, Union.
— David Louis Gist, 54, of 121 Willow Lane, Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana around 5 p.m. Nov. 17.
— Vickie Lynn Boulware, 43, of 193 Careem Road, Union, was charged with assault and battery around 5 p.m. Nov. 16. According to the arrest warrant, Boulware pushed a woman in the face with her fingers and smacked her in the back of the head while at an address on Long Twelve Street in Union.
