UNION COUNTY — The Union County Yellow Jackets baseball team defeated Woodruff in a final score of 5-4 last week.


The winning pitcher for Union County was Jimmy Johnson, with Quay Cooper making the save. The Yellow Jackets’ leading hitters were Aaron Bailey, who went two for three; Charles Johnson, who went two for three; Quay Cooper, who went two for three; and Michael Todd Harris, who went two for four.


Beginning April 15, Union County will play four straight home games:


• April 15 — Clinton — Timken Sports Complex — 7:30 p.m.


• April 17 — Ninety-Six — Timken Sports Complex — 6 p.m.


• April 22 — Chapman — Timken Sports Complex — 7:30 p.m.


• April 24 — Broome — Timken Sports Compex — 7:30 p.m.
