GAFFNEY — Sims fell short on the road Thursday against what Coach Darryl Phillips called a swarming Gaffney defense. The final score was 53-35.

Phillips said Quadrik Smith played well in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 points; Desman Kershaw fouled out in the fourth quarter with nine points; Deandre Davis had six points; Dudley Thompson and Kenneth Tucker, Jr. each scored two points; and Tyus Savage, who Phillips noted also played well, had one.

Sims has two more games on the road next week — at Gable on Tuesday, Jan. 21, and Fairforest on Thursday, Jan. 23.
