UNION — Wrestling fans turned out for an exciting lineup of matches held Saturday evening during the Union County Agricultural Fair.

The main event of the evening pitted TSW Heavyweight Champion Deon Johnson against former WWE and TNA Impact star Luke “D.O.C.” Gallows.

The six-foot-eight, 300-pound Gallows proved to be a tough match for Johnson, however the match ended by way of disqualification when Hunter Thompson, one of Johnson’s longtime rivals, interfered in the match.

After the bell, Gallows and Thompson executed a pile-driver on Johnson, who had to be helped out of the ring. Johnson said he will address the situation at TSW’s next event on Nov. 9 at the fairgrounds.

In Women’s Division competition, fan favorite Amanda Rodriguez picked up a win over “Ice Queen” Amber O’Neal.

In other matches, Charleston resident Peter Kaasa defeated Ring of Honor star Cedric Alexander; Chase “Cauliflower” Brown defeated “Midnight Son” Caleb Konley; Kameron Kade defeated Hunter Thompson; and Jaxon Lee and Josh Powers wrestled to a double disqualification for both men being outside of the ring for more than a 10 count.
