UNION — The Union County High School JV volleyball team defeated Chester Thursday night.
“We won the match today,” said Coach Terry Jackson. “I was very proud of the girls. We got down in the second game but was able to come back and win. The score was 25-21 and 25-22. We were up 3-0 and did not lead again until we got to 23.
“Caitlin Grant had a seven point serving streak to win the game,” she said. “She had three aces and two assists. Claire Pridemore also served well. She had one ace. Macy Scarborough had an ace and two kills. Mary Scarborough played a really good game. She had two aces and two kills. Kasie Roark had an ace and a kill. Cheyenne Knox had had assists. Tayler Stines had two digs. Savannah England and Skylen Morris also played well.
Jackson said the team will host Woodruff on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
