DUNCAN — Sims Volleyball lost to Florence Chapel 3-0 Wednesday. The scores were 25-11, 25-9, and 25-19.

In spite of their loss, Coach Tracy Duncan said the team was playing well and will continue to improve.

“The girls played well with passing much better and also serving much better as a team,” Duncan said. “Bailey Bethenbaugh served well. Emily Phillips and Shy Means played well on defense. Some things are coming together for us, but we still need to work as a team on passing, communication, and movement. I think once we get a win, that will help boost our confidence.

“Our conference (Peachtree) is tough, as most teams players play club voleyball with Upward Stars,” she said. “That makes a huge difference to girls who are just learning basic skills. By the end of the season, we will look like a new team, because skills are improving daily.”
